Socially responsible organizations create relationships with key stakeholders and maintain open communication with these groups. At White Memorial, we depend on our close relationships with our board members, employees, physicians, community leaders and others in order to understand what we are doing well and where we need improvement. Our strong ties also help us to enlist the support of these groups as we share in the responsibility for serving our patients, visitors and community.
Environmental Stewardship at WMMC
As a socially responsible organization, White Memorial Medical Center recognizes the inseparable link between human health and the health of the environment. As stated in our Mission and Guiding Principles, we believe in using all of our resources responsibly and efficiently, and pursuing innovative solutions to reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible. WM has formed a Green Team composed of staff from key departments that is tasked with encouraging implementation of the Environmental Stewardship Policy.
